• NHS Informatics Merseyside (IM) Data Protection Officer as a Service

    IM provides a Data Protection Officer as a Service (DPOaaS), offering a named Data Protection Officer (DPO) and supporting Information Governance Team that can offer advice and support for day-to-day data protection, privacy issues and assist with data breach responses and management.

    The service supports Organisations discharging their DPO duties and deploying their Information Governance responsibilities in-line with legislation and national standards.

Jeanie Hedley - Head of Information Governance & Data Protection Officer

Andrew Ivers - Deputy Head of Information Governance (Primary Care) & Deputy Data Protection Officer

Helen Kershaw - Information Governance Manager (Primary Care)

Data Protection Officer as a Service supported hours are 9:00am till 4.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

Data Protection Officer as a Service Annual Reports

Each year the Data Protection Officer as a Service will produce an annual report. The purposes of these reports are to provide NHS Informatics Merseyside's Management, NHS Cheshire & Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB), Liverpool GP Practices and Liverpool Primary Care Networks with:

  • an update on the development of the NHS Informatics Merseyside Data Protection Officer as a Service during the reporting period
  • a review of activity during the reporting period
  • a review of key achievements during the reporting period
  • a look forward to the next 12 months within the Data Protection Officer as a Service
